HOW DID LAYNE & CO. START?
Well, Layne is Shelbys middle name. When trying to find a perfect salon name, Layne just seemed to fit perfectly. While owning a Salon has always been a dream of Shelbys, she first wanted to get her college degree while playing Division I softball. With her plan in motion she graduated early with Honors, Cum Laude.
Shelby is a native Austinite, born and raised, so being able to bring hard work and talent back to her home town is something she always dreamed of. Shelby is extremely passionate about the beauty industry, which only continues to grow daily. Her mission is to educate her clients properly, spread love, kindness, and confidence to all those who she crosses paths with.
Shelby opened her salon studio the week following graduation from Paul Mitchell, the School Austin in 2017. While building her career as an independent stylist she stayed in salon suites for 4 years until September of 2021. She was able to open Layne & Co. with extreme determination and hard work.
SHELBY-LAYNE SELLS
Shelby was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She attended a local high school before going onto complete college in Louisiana. Shelby was also a collegiate athlete for 3 years before graduating early, with honors in 2016. In 2017 Shelby opened her salon suite which she grew for four years before expanding in to a full scale salon in 2021.

CASSIDY BUDDE
Cassidy was born and raised in small-town Geneseo, IL. After graduating high school she attended a local college and graduated with an Associates Degree in Art in 2017. After college, she attended Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Champaign, IL and graduated in 2019. She trained alongside Shelby for a year and a half before taking on her own clients. Cassidy is currently building her clientele and is excited to cater to all your hair needs!
Cassidy’s favorite thing about being a hairstylist is constantly learning new things and building strong relationships with her clients. She loves working at Layne & Co. because her salon family helps provide the love and support she needs to grow every day. Outside of the salon, Cassidy enjoys hiking with her dog, trying out new breweries and restaurants, and having game nights with family and friends.

Stella Marzella
Stella was born and raised in a small town in Italy. She moved to Leander,Tx in 2010 and has been there ever since! She always knew she had a passion for hair ever since she was little and was doing all her friend’s hair. After finishing high school she started at the Salon Professional Academy in Georgetown. She will be working alongside Shelby until she is ready to start taking her own clients! She loves giving clients their dream hair and boosting their confidence! Stella is wanting to specialize in blonding and haircuts!

Hello, I’m Mikayla, a proud Texan hailing from the charming town of Georgetown. With a passion for all things beauty, I embarked on my journey at Central Texas Beauty College in August 2021. I have a special knack for working with blondes and creating stunning highlights.
Beyond my love for the beauty industry, I’m an avid reader, always exploring new worlds through the pages of a book. I love traveling to explore new places, cultures, and cuisines and when I’m not behind the salon chair or jet-setting, you’ll often find me whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen.

Meet Makenna, a seasoned hairstylist with over 6 years of experience, based in Austin, Texas. After obtaining her license from Toni and Guy in Dallas, Makenna honed her craft through a rigorous 2-year apprenticeship, under the guidance of exceptional mentors. Her recent transition to Layne and Co signifies a new chapter in her journey.
Makenna is more than a hairstylist; she's a transformative artist. Her expertise lies in color transformations, whether it's taking brunettes to blondes or creating vibrant, head-turning hues. The goal is simple: to leave you exclaiming, "Oh my gosh, I LOVE this!"
For Makenna, it's not just about hair; it's about the people in her chair. She's an avid listener, a cheerful conversationalist, and believes in the power of laughter. Her passion for hair has been a lifelong affair, and she's excited to share that enthusiasm with you.

Roxie is just a small town girl who was born in San Antonio and raised in Eagle Pass, Texas. Upon graduation from high school, Roxie attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. During Roxie’s illustrious career, she has held many job titles such as Legislative Research Assistant for Senator Zaffirini, Legislative Program Specialist for The Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Director of Business for Austin Cheer Factory and presently Salon Manager at Layne & Co. Salon. However, her favorite job title has been that of Mom to her boys.
Roxie enjoys being a part of the talented Layne & Co. Salon Team. Her favorite part of her job is taking care of each stylist and ensuring that each client has impeccable service and the most amazing experience at L&C.

Kelsey was born and raised in Austin, Tx. After graduating from a local highschool she attended Blinn Junior College on a cheerleading scholarship. She then moved back to Austin and attended The Paul Mitchell School of Austin and graduated in 2017. She worked at an Austin BarberShop for 3 years as a Stylist/Manager before becoming a full-time stay at home mom.
Other then her love for everything hair she also loves spending time with family and friends.

If you are a new client you can book an in person consultation via our online booking link HERE. If you are an existing client you can use the online booking system to reschedule. As always we are available to answer any other questions at 512-814-0109.

We require a 48 hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Day of cancellations, reschedules, no call or no shows, will be charged 100% of the service that was scheduled. If you do not cancel or reschedule 48 hours in advance than you will be required to pay 30% of your scheduled service before rescheduling.

If you are dissatisfied with a service you received we absolutely want to make it right. We are happy to offer you the opportunity to return to the salon for a redo, though it must be communicated to the salon within 7 days of the service provided.

If you would rather meet in person to talk face to face you can book a color consultation or an extension consultation on our online booking system.
